update on my dad

Hey yall. I thought I would let you all know why I haven't been active here lately.
On Thursday my dad called me and wanted me to go to the ER with him. He had been sick the past week and said he just couldn't take it any more. We was at the ER at 2pm, they finally put him in a room at 8pm that night. The did blood test, breathing treatments, XRays and a CT scan. He tested negative for the flu, which we thought was whats wrong with him.

After a couple hours in the ER the doctor's said he had phenumonia in both lungs. So they admitted him and kept him on a breathing machine. I go to the hospital the next day and they said he had a bacterial infection. His breathing machine was on 100% and he was only breathing on his on
83% which isn't good.  At the time , he hadn't slept in three days and I know he was exhausted. He was scared to go to sleep because he was afraid he wouldn't wake up again. So I left and went home so maybe he could get some rest.


Next day; My stepmom calls me and tells me that my dad was going to ICU to be put on a ventilator. She told me the only visiting hours were 10:00-10:15 and 12-12:30.So I said I would come up there at 12 so I could spend more time with my dad.


At about 9:45am my stepmom calls me and tells me to come to the hospital as soon as I could.
I get there and as soon as I got to the hospital doors , I knew my daddy had passed away. My whold family was there.

When they finally told me, I just lost it. I'm still cant believe it.

Apperantly my dads kidneys shut down and then his heart just stopped. My dad was perfectly healthy , didn't smoke or have any health problems.

Please,please please, don't take your family for granted. Yall don't know how hard this is.

KISSlashes and Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Review!

Hey yall! I thought today I would do a review on some products I recently got! First we have the Kiss lashes in shy. I received these for free from Influenster for testing purposes. Then we have Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick by Kate in Rossetto #09. I got the lipstick on sale for $2.50 at Kmart.


KISS lashes in Shy;

I got these in my Jadore VoxBox and I was super excited to try them. I am by far not a pro at putting lashes on but these were super duper easy to use. The glue is very easy to apply and not to sticky but it keeps your lashes on the lid. Trust me, I sneezed super hard and they didn't budge at all.

To me,they looked really natural,not to over the top. I paired them with Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara because I like super long lashes. So overall ,I really liked these lashes and im planning on using them for my birthday look.

 

 

 

Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick by Kate in Rossetto #09

 

When I saw that this was on sale I was so pumped because I've seen so many good things about this online and the color looked really pretty.

This color is kind of a deep red but not too dark. I think this color would be perfect for a night out on the town!

 

This lipstick is really rich and went on very creamy and smooth.I was very very impressed!!! a plus ,Rimmel!!

Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask review

Hey yall, recently I got my Jadore VoxBox from Influenster  and in it there was Boots Botanics 
Ionic Clay Mask. This mask has Willowbark in it which, actively removes impurities and deeply cleanses( or according to the packaging).  Ive been looking for a product for awhile to help with my pores & blackheads so I was excited to try this!

When I first put this on I did notice that it as a little messy, so if you putting this mask on ,make sure your around a sink. The formula is really thin so I was kinda doubtful when I put it on but it worked very well. This really gets down in your pores and cleans them out. I noticed a big difference in my blackheads , which is a big deal for me. My skin was so soft after I used this & it smells really good!

 

 

 

This mask retails for $9.39 but I got it for free from Influenster for testing purposes. But as soon as I run out I do plan on re buying this. A little of this goes along way & I look forward to seeing the results after using this for awhile.

Jadore VoxBox from Influenster

Hi Yall.  If you've been following me on Instagram ( @misstristiee29) then youknow that I love Influenster.  Influenster is an online program where you can do survery & reviews and unlock "badges" in certain areas, i.e., beauty (beauty queen), fashion (fashionista) and others , and the higher your badges score is the more of a chance you have to get selected to review products. This flat Iron spray has Keratin in it & according to the box it makes your hair straighter for up to 3 days! I am super excited to try this because I straighten  my hair all the time!!

This mask has Williowbark in it which is an natural source of salicylic acid  which helps refine skins texture and targets imperfections. I love using all different kinds of face mask & this one looks super cool. Maybe I can even get my hubby to try it with me, lol. I doubt it though.

 

 

 

Red Rose  Simply Indulgent Tea

 

Okay , let me just put this out there I am not a tea person. I feel like a red headed step child because I live in the south & I hate tea. But this box came with  Crème Carmel tea which I have never heard of & It sound DELICIOUS so I am definitely gonna give this a try!!

 

 

 

 

Kiss False Lashes in Shy

 

I have only used false eyelashes once when I was like 16 so im excited to be trying them again. These look like they will be easy to use & they look real natural. Cant wait to create some looks with these & maybe use these for my birthday look coming up next week!!

 

 

 

 

Vaseline Men's Spray Lotion

 

Something for my man!! I cant wait to see how his skin feel after this . This may be weird but I wanted to see how this worked & I didn't want to wait until my hubs got of work so I used it on myself & I really liked this,lol. Now when my husband gets home, he's probably going to e wondering why I smell like a man,haha! By the way ,this has a nice sent to it, not to strong.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara Review

Hi Yall!On my latest ULTA haul I picked up Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara after seeing so many good reviews. Let me tell you, this has to be one of my favorite mascara's EVER! I was kinda iffy about buying another Too Faced mascara because I was so disappointed in Lasgasm but this one did not disappoint at all! 


The formula is so lightweight & rich. When I saw the brush I was worried about clumping but not to worry. The brush really grabs your lashes & extends them.

 

I really like this brush. It puts a good amount of mascara on your lashes without overdoing it& puts the mascara on your lashes really smoothly I haven't experienced any clumping so far. And for some weird reason I have yet to get this on my eyelids, which is something I always do!!

 

 

But overall, I would totally recommend this mascara & would buy it 100 times over again. Too Faced did not do me dirty on this product.AMAZING,AMAZING,AMAZING!

Hi yall! I recently wen to ULTA and loaded up. This is kind of an early birthday / Valentines present for me. I was in heaven shopping for all that stuff & I had a great experience at ULTA yet again. Theyre always so friendly & helpful. I asked almost a million questions, lol. Here is what I got.

Here are my first thoughts about everything;

Benefit The POREfessionl is pretty good. I can see a difference in my pore size &&I cant believe no one ever talks about how good it smells!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar- love it! The colors are so pretty &totally makes my green eyes pop. And this palette smells so amazing. The shadows are enriched with cocoa powder which is high in anti-oxidants.

Lorac Pro Palette- Havent got to try it yet but I swatched it  &the colors look super pretty.

Benefit "They're Real"mascara- I didn't really get that wow factor that I was expecting but they did make my lashes look really long. Im not giving up on this mascara just yet.

OPI The bond Girls liquid sand- I used Vesper & I kind of hate the liquid sand effect. It just feels weird to me. I really liked the deep purple color but the liquid sand just makes it look weird. I cant wait to try jinx though.

Victoria's Secret Angel Gold smells so good!

BAMA SNOW DAY!! What I'm doing today ;

Hey y'all! Today it is snowing & I'm stuck inside the house. I live in Alabama so they basically shut down the whole state when it snows lol.  

 Here's what I woke up to:

And you know I had to write "war eagle" in the snow for my Auburn Tigers! 

I was browsing around my vanity & I used these two products today.

I used my NYC Colorwheel Bronzer to give my face a glow on this snowy day. & I played around with this LA COLORS eyeshadow palette in Supernatural. It came from the dollar store so I was really expecting to do much but it really surprised me. It's very well pigmented & had little fallout but it does smell like it was drown in baby powder lol. 

I actually have a sinus infection so I will be spending the rest of the day resting , maybe, lol. But a makeup junkie had to get there makeup fix & I had to get mine lol.  Hope you lovelies have a good day & if your in winter weather stay safe & warm!

Valentines Inspired Pieces

Hey y'all! I thought I would share some V-Day inspired pieces from my own collection & it's kind of a way to show off my cute shoes ;) ! 

This Maybelline Dream Mousse in Soft Plum is pretty cool. I like the mousse texture but I kinda feel like an idiot putting it on cause , I mean, how do you put that stuff on with a brush. I just use my fingers! But the color doesn't show up that great on me. Lame. 

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I'm not sure if you one of those people that are part of the Naked cult or just plain tired of hearing about this palette but there's good reason why everyone talks about it. IT'S AWESOME! Plain & simple. The colors are a nice rose-hued & so pigmented. Most of the colors are shimmer colors but the matte colors are pretty too! I mean you can go wrong with a little shimmer! 

 Victoria's Secret Sheer Love instant glow bronzing mousse & pink Betsey Johnson earring : I got the bronzing mousse on sale & when I tried it on my arm , I WAS IN LOVE! Like oh my gosh- I just found the most awesome product- in love. It smells so wonderful & I thought I hit the jackpot. NO. I got home was so excited , I put it on my legs , it was streaks all over my legs. My hand was a crazy orange color & when I crossed my legs, the color came off on that spot. I wanted to love this product so much, so so so much but it just miserably failed me. The Betsey Johnson earring were originally $25 but I got them on clearance for five bucks at Marshall's!!  

Jessica Simpson pink pumps. I actually got these at a thrift store for $2. TWO DOLLARS!!! They're not the most comfy but they sure are gorgeous & that's all that matters! Beauty is pain. 

Nail Polish; of course I had to put some on here! Pure Ice in Splash, Revlon in Strawberry Electric,China Glaze in Naked & Wet N Wild in Candy-licious. The only one that I've actually used is the China Glaze & it very pretty. Not my favorite but pretty! 

      

Wet N Wild matte lipstick in Red Velvet. If you read my earlier review of this or if you follow me on Instagram(@misstristiee29) you know that I love this lipstick. I can't get over how rich this color is. It says on well & is only $2!!! So of course I would feature this on my list.

Review:Wet n Wild Matte Lipstick in Red Velvet

Hi y'all!! Today I'm reviewing Wet N Wild matte lipstick. This is the first Wet N Wild lipstick I've had. I got this lipstick last week & I am in love with it. The color is so rich, it's crazy. You would expect a $2 lipstick to deliver like it did but this is amazing. This lipstick would be perfect on a date night. 

The color goes on so smooth & it stays there too! I'm sure this could be a dupe for a higher end lipstick like M.A.C. 

The only thing that I don't like about this lipstick is that taking it off can be a real pain.  After you take it off, it can leave a redish/pink tint on your lips. The tint does go away after a couple minutes. 

But overall, I'm really satisfied with this lipstick & I can't wait to try the other matte shades. Plus you can't beat a $2 lipstick !!
