DIY Face scrubs & masks

Hi beauties! If your like me then you absolutely love doing DIY projects. Why not try some DIY beauty treatments? I love the fact that you are the one making them, not some scientist. Plus you know what going into it because all the ingredients are in your kitchen! Here are some that I stumbled across & I thought I'd share with y'all. 


For Oily & Acne Prone Skin:

Banana Mask:
Ingredients:
• 1 banana
•2 tbsp honey
•Juice from orange or lemon

Prep:
Mash up the banana & mix in honey. For a better result , throw it in the blender. After blended  add a few drops of juice from your lemon or orange. Put on skin & leave in for around 15 minutes. Rinse. 



Strawberry Mask:
Ingredients:
•1/4 cup strawberries, fresh
•1/4 cup sour cream

Prep:
Let your strawberries & sour cream get to room temperature. Mash both ingredients together & apply to face. Leave on for 10 minutes & rinse. 



Strawberry, Honey & Brown Sugar Mask
Ingredients:
• 6 strawberries, fresh not frozen
•1 Tbsp honey
•1 Tbsp brown sugar

Prep:
De-stem strawberries & add to a food processor. Gradually add in brown sugar & honey. Blend until a paste is made. Apply mask to skin & wash off after 10 minutes. 





For Dry Skin:


Avocado Mask
Ingredients:
•1/2 ripe avocado
•1/4 cup honey

Prep:
Mash avocado & mix in honey. Apply to skin & let set for 10 minutes. Rinse. 





Brown Sugar scrub:
Ingredients:
•1 Tbsp brown sugar
• 2 Tsp olive oil

Prep:
Put brown sugar in bowl & stir on olive oil until it makes a paste, massage into skin. Rinse. 
Side Note- This would be better if you wet your skin before applying this scrub. 




For Combination Skin:


Peach Mask:
Ingredients:
• 1 peach
•1 egg white
•1 Tbsp egg white
•1 Tbsp sour cream or plain yogurt

Prep: 
Combine ingredients together. Apply to skin & let set for 15 minutes & rinse. 




Egg White Mask
Ingredients:
•1 egg white
• 1/8 cup coconut milk


Prep:
Beat egg white until frothy & bubbly. 
Add in coconut milk. Apply to face & let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse.

Side Note- Strawberries are a natural source of salicylic acid, which is used in OTC acne medication.
