Vitamins for your skin, hair & nails.

Sometimes our food diet just doesn't cut it(vitamin wise). Here are some vitamin that help out on the beauty side of things.

1. Biotin- Biotin strengthens hair follicles and your hair shaft, which is where your hair is made. Biotin helps hair grow faster , promotes healthy hair & helps fight brittle nails. You can find biotin in peanuts, milk, eggs, red meat & bananas.

2. B Vitamins-  Vitamins B2, B5, B6 & B12 are all good for healthy skin and skin cell growth. They're also good for your metabolism & give you much need energy. I personally take a B-Complex vitamin which helps restore your hairs natural shine & thickens strands. B6 helps you produce collagen & maintains that collagen. B2 helps hair due to its antioxidant properties.

3. Zinc- Zinc is naturally a hair growth mineral. It helps build, protect and repair cells, which is why it's important to your skin. Zinc also helps maintain moisture in your skin and helps keep your complexion looking flawless. It also helps keep those white spots from popping up on your nails. You can find Zinc in nuts, beans and red meat.

4. Prenatal Vitamin- Prenatal vitamins have lots of minerals that are good for you. They have folic acid which promotes hair growth. I've heard of crushing them up in your shampoo would do wonders but DON'T DO IT! Unless you want smelly shampoo & yellow gunk in your shampoo. Personal experience.

Other Vitamin & Minerals;
Iron: carries oxygen to hair & promotes growth
Vitamin D- helps with hair follicle cycle
Vitamin A- renews skin cells, can help develop a water barrier in skin
Vitamin E- helps prevent acne scars & wrinkles
Vitamin C- helps produce collagen, also an antioxidant that helps fight skin damage.
Vitamin D3- regulates production of Keratin- the main component in skin, hair & nails.
